About Prime Tools: who we are
Prime Tools is a team of 10 mould makers in MIDC Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra. We build compression moulds for SMC, DMC, BMC, Bakelite, melamine and urea-formaldehyde parts, and we repair, modify and make new inserts for aluminium die casting dies.
Our customers make the electrical boxes, enclosures and housings that utilities, panel builders and contractors install every day: meter boxes, junction and distribution boxes, switchgear parts, solar and EV enclosures, and lighting.
What we are, and what we are not
We are thermoset specialists
Compression moulds are our main line. Every mould is designed around how thermosets flow and cure: shear edges, charge, venting and heating.
We are not an injection mould shop
We stay in our niche and aim to lead it, rather than taking every kind of tooling job.
We are engineering-led
Every new part starts with a DFM review, so problems are fixed on screen, not at the trial.
We are honest about capacity
If a job is outside what we do well, we say so early.
How we work with you
- Free DFM review. Send your part. We report on draft, walls, flow, venting and press tonnage.
- Clear quotation. Mould price, steel and a lead time we commit to, typically 6 to 8 weeks.
- Build and updates. Machining, EDM, grinding and fitting in our tool room, with progress photos.
- Trial and handover. Trial on the press and first-off parts for your approval.
